McCormick is Competing!
This year, McCormick has decided to take a crack at the title of World Champion with our new Grill Mates competition team, “Just Flame and Flavor.” Under the leadership of Senior Culinary Director, Executive Chef Kevan Vetter and with the help of Chef Jordan Carfagno, Principal Culinary Development Manager, the team will compete in the Pork Ribs category and will be eligible to bring home the big win.
Competition cooking will take place right alongside the McCormick Hospitality Tent, so follow along as “Just Flame and Flavor” hopefully advances to the Saturday finals.
The McCormick Hospitality Tent
Most of the weekend’s events will take place in and around the McCormick Hospitality Tent, at the WCBCC inside Liberty Park.
Shuttle transportation will be provided back and forth from downtown hotels to Liberty Park, and the tent is just a short walk from the main event entrance. The competition team number is R-021.
Outside of scheduled activities, you will have ample time to walk the event grounds to soak up as much booze, barbecue, and blues as you can handle!
